Shawn Babauta

South Puget Sound

Shawn Babauta brings a wealth of manufacturing experience to the Impact Washington team, stemming from his many years in the industry. His passion is solving problems so he can help clients find and eliminate waste.

Before joining Impact Washington, he spent 8 years leading production and functional test teams at Sea-Bird Scientific in Bellevue.

He also spent 7 years at Boeing, coaching and mentoring teams in lean manufacturing principles and tools. He was a Boeing internally certified facilitator/leader in Accelerated Improvement Workshop (AIW) and Value Stream Mapping (VSM). He also led numerous manufacturing workshops using the Production Preparation Process (3P) method. He deployed and trained manufacturing leadership teams.

Shawn also spent three years at Eviation Aircraft as a manufacturing engineer, manufacturing planning manager, and director of operations, and a year at Ingersoll Rand as senior manager of operational excellence and quality.

“I love this area and I am excited to meet new people in new industries, partner with local governments and organizations, and assist manufacturers to the best of my ability,” he said.
